Renewal Incense Set

An Incense set for the V&A inspired by a Meiji period Incense burner crafted to look like a hawk. Aiming to represent the transition from the Japanese Edo period to the Meiji period and how sword-smiths adapted into becoming decorative metalworkers. The box design was created by collaging ink paintings, and the burners handmade with ceramic.
